Workshops

My Friday morning class at Collaton St Mary Parish Hall is steadily growing. We meet at 9.45 and finish at 12.15 pm. Each week involves step-by-step demonstrations of different techniques and subjects, so if you've never painted before, I'll show you how it's done. You'll be surprised how quickly you improve! The cost is £10 per lesson. Tea and coffee (and biscuits!) are included. The hall is situated on the Totnes Road, between Paignton and Totnes. There is a staircase up to the hall.

I'm also running full one-day workshops at the above venue from 10am - 4pm. My workshops include demonstrations and step-by-step exercises, and are suitable for beginners and improvers. Bring along your usual watercolour-painting kit, some sheets of watercolour paper, about 15" x 11", and a board to attach it to. I always have paper, available on the day, which I sell at 20p a sheet. Bring along a packed lunch.

The Watershed Studio is spacious and well lit, an ideal location for painting workshops. Situated on the edge of St Osyth, an historically important village on the north Essex coast.

The price of these workshops includes a hearty, home-cooked, two course farmhouse lunch and homemade cake in the afternoon. Meals are taken in the conservatory or on the terrace, when weather permits. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day. I will be running two 2-day watercolour workshops in 2006. The cost of these courses is £45 for each day. You can either come along for just the one day, or attend both days for £90. A deposit of 20% (£9 per person per day) is required to book a place. Balance is payable one month before the course. Although there is no accommodation at the Watershed Studio, there are a number of good quality Bed & Breakfasts in the area. Details available on request.

You may enrol in person at the Community Education Office, Brixham Communtiy College. The office is open to the public from September 7th.
